Subject: How often will I get free clothes
Q: If I sign up to be a Geertsen Local, how will I find out when I am on the team and when will I get free clothes?
A: The idea behind Geertsen Locals is simple. Because we are skaters and we know how hard it is to keep good equipement and clothing in working order, we have created a Geertsen Locals community to help each skater get known. Our first priority is to keep and eye on the amature skaters. we look here for up and coming skaters that we can add to our skate team.

Some Locals will end up on our flow list... which means: When we have extra items, promotional items, overstock items, or new items that need to be tested. we will choose a few locals to try something out..

The more involved you are, the more likely you will get our attention.

Once you have been on the locals flow list, and you are winning comps and getting notice wearing Geertsen Clothing, your chances are very strong that you will be chosen for the Geertsen Skate team.

Skate hard and keep uploading pictures.

Q: I just received an email from your team about my letter. You said,I need to give you a local profile. What is a local profile, and what exactly do I need to know to be part of your team....thanks
A: when you go to http://www.geertsen.com/locals you will be asked to login. If you do not have a username and password. please follow the New Locals Profile link, fill in the information on the form that will help us get to know you and your skills better. No personal information will be shared with anyone, and it is not required to get on the flow list. Once you are a local, upload pictures for the world to see. we look at all pictures uploaded and approve them before we make them live. This is the Very FIRST STEP to becoming sponsored.

Q: I just signed up and i dont Have a scanner to up load pics is there another way or can i just send u pics for u to look at. can also do that to get sponsored or do I have to up load . thanks , later.
A: Yes. You can send them in. We also accept Video tapes, mini DV tapes cd, floppy disks, zip drives, or any other format you would like to throw at us...

If you do send stuff to us, please include a self addressed stamped envelope if you want the stuff back... It is a good idea for you to send copies rather than originals. We will not be responsible for any lost damaged or stolen packages.

If you would like your pictures to show up under your locals profile, then find a way to upload them. we get hundreds of pictures, and we do not have the time to scan them and upload them in you profile for you...

Remember to label you pictures, and let us know who the photographer is too...

Q: hey ........wuts up what happens now that im on the list? like wut does that mean?
A: This mean that we NOW know you exsist...

When we are looking for new riders, or skaters to give free products to, we will review all of the Geertsen Locals we have on the list.

Keep your profile current with the newest photos.

we cannot send everyone stuff, because of the huge number of people asking us for free goods, so those people who are more active than others, will have a beter chance..

Q: erm.. ive signed up for geersten awhile ago, and uploaded pictures and everything and im stil not on the lst of locals? what do i need to do for this?
A: When skaters upload pictures, we review them before turning them live, to make sure they are appropriate.

If a skater uploads a picture of their dog, girlfrien, the logo of their favorite company, or pictures that are WAY to big... we will turn you status off temporarily.

so make sure the you photos are good ones..

A: yes, we are getting more in stock at the moment.

This is another good reason to keep your profile current..

Q: I upload about 10 pictures underneath my profile. When i go to the local skaters section my name is their and when i click on my name my profile and all is their but not my pictures. Why is that? I uploaded them properly and all. Thanx.
A: Thanks for uploading pictures.....
Because of the nature of some people on the internet, we have had to build the approval feature into all uploaded pictures...

We want to keep this clean with skate pictures only..... Once you have uploaded a picture, we at Geertsen will get an email to go approve the pictures...
Usually this takes less than 12 hours, a few minutes in most cases.. if all loks good.. we will activate you pictures.....keep checking back!!! -Geertsen
